Kalama Horse Camp - Toutle Trail #238 - severe washout above McBride Lake. Yellow ribboned bypass trail in place above the east trailhead. Dangerous for horses. Forest Service has been notified. Otherwise the loop is a beautiful loop - #238 to #237 back to camp.
Nicest horse camp in state. set of 4 corrals, pull thru parking, stock water, fire pits, picnic tables. trails maintained by Mt. St. Helens chapter, Backcountry Horsemen Washington. USFS does NEED to provide trail signs! some are broken, hard to read, or missing. mileage information would be very helpfull on a good topo trail map in camp. also would be big improvement if some of the sites could be reserved. for those of us driving a long distance. Annual event for me and my riding friends.
